Homemade Cheese Sauce {recipe}

The husband grilled deer steak and I roasted sweet potato cubes, while I steamed broccoli and made a homemade cheese sauce. (No jar whiz here!). 

Sweet Potato: peeled and cubed 3 medium sweet potatoes. Sprayed with olive oil (nothing else). Roasted on 400F for 25-30 minutes, turning once half way. 

Broccoli: steamed in microwave (so complexed). 

Cheese Sauce: (warning, not low calorie but made fresh and got my toddler to eat broccoli) melt 2 Tbs. of butter, whisk in 2 Tbs. of all purpose flour, whisk in 1 cup milk. Use wooden spoon and stir till thickened. Turn off heat and add in 1.5 cups of freshly shredded cheese (don't use pre-shredded cheese bc it won't melt as well). 

The sauce took less than 10 minutes and was truly delicious. If I can do it so can you!
